31 Comment on the file Subject: "Obrana Národa" flyer campaign. Konrad Henlein's speech in Prague was chosen as the subject of the leaflet with corresponding comment, as it has received far too little attention in the Czech press. The high circulation of the flyer should ensure its spread even in the most remote areas of the Protectorate. It was approached by middle-persons to the editor of the magazine "Obrana Národa", who himself has a very positive relationship with Germanism and also possessed, and whose sheet represents a direction that does not make the publication of the flyer word edited by us seem conspicuously he=. Mr Velinský, the editor mentioned above, was quite open to the task and, through his personal commitment to the production and distribution of the leaflet, contributed significantly to its success. In order to avoid any unusualness, the text of the leaflet was used as an editorial in the No.26 of the above-mentioned magazine, but in the form of a special edition of the "Obrana Národa" in striking presentation in an edition of 5oo.ooo pieces. The distribution took place by specially hired newspaper publishers, by the subscription of the "Obrana Národa" and finally by some right-wing opposition Czech . Groups. The German origin of the leaflets could be successfully concealed everywhere. The distribution was carried out throughout the protectorate area in barely 2 days. First of all, Mr. Velinský sent the flight=sheet through the mail to all political figures of Czech public life, so to all ministers, to the *members of the NS, etc. The mail also sent the quota, which was calculated for the subscribers. (200.O00) That same evening the distribution began in Prague. The carriers divided into more lively streets, in coffee houses in public ./.
