EIEEE Protocol BeSES3SEESCSSSEBEPEE on the meeting of the Chairman of the Works Committee of the Officials and Employees of the Witkowitzer Eisenwerke Friedrich Š u g a r a and Franz K l í m a , Chair of the Workers' Committee with the General of Armaments Mr H e r n e k a m p, which was held at the Castle of Witcowitzer Ironworks on 4.3.43 at 12 o'clock at the request of the General. In addition to the participants, the meeting was attended by General Director Kuchinka, military officer for the ironworks, Captain de la Sous, Ing. Reuter, some officers and non-commissioned officers. The discussion was based on the following questions which the General of Arms addressed to the chairmen of the works committees and which they answered as follows: 1. The General: I wanted to ask you, gentlemen, how the local workforce is fed? Šugar: Some of the workers are housed in the barracks and feed themselves in the factory canteen, the rest of the working class lives either in factory or private apartments in Ostrava and the surrounding area, travels home every day and takes care of itself at home. Gen.: How do those who live at home get the food? P.: They buy in the shops on cards. Gen. : What kind of food cards do the followers get? Š.: The normal ones at the community, the additional cards at the factory. Gen: Do they also get additional cards for heavy, heavy and long workers? Š: Yes. Gen.: Were the claims on these cards and their membership under the categories of the workers ever controlled? p.: Yes.
