I am sending in the annex a report by the Statistical Office of the capital city of Prague on the control of Mr Lt General S p e i c h with the following remarks: The quarterly intermediate pig censuses, which in June also covered the census of cattle herds, in December on all the animal species, were already introduced in 1940, according to the operation in the rest of the Reich. Following these censuses, checks are carried out at random, under the direction of the Ministerius of the Interior, using a uniform control service under the authority of the Ministry of the Home. According to the report of the Statistical Office of the capital city of Prague, the livestock of the lieutenant general Speich was not counted. He would have been obliged, if not searched by any meter, to register his livestock.
