English Translation

2.) The present President of the Federal Republic of Germany has no commercial vehicle at his disposal. Only the President of Germany and the Vice-President of the State have such a car. However, since I consider it an important task of the German President to maintain the most active links with all the relevant German authorities, I believe that, apart from prestigious considerations, the allocation of a service car is also indispensable for the German president. 3.) The remuneration of the higher officials of the Protectorate Administration [are exceptionally low. The Presidential Chief, who is classified as Superior Council or Governing Council, would be entitled to a monthly salary of approximately RM 250.- to 300.-- together with all the allowances. My (in terms of previous salaries in the authority of the Reich Protector) gross amounts to around RM 790.-. I would therefore receive only about a third of my previous salary if I were to be transferred to the national authority. In an interview, the Under-Secretary of State described this as unacceptable and I agreed to a monthly net purchase of RM 8O0.-- about his proposal. The formal side of this debate was not discussed with the Under-Secretary of State, but I believe that this question should be resolved as much as possible before the start of my service.
