Be ri c h t 10 about my meeting with Minister Havelka on 8 December 1939. On 7 December, Minister Havellka informed me, through the editor-in-chief of the Czech Press Office,Oberrat Dr.Hofman, that he asked me to speak with him. He also let me know that he would visit me himself. This meeting was held at 11 a.m. on 8.12.1939 in the building of the Czech Press Office, Lützowstrasse 5. Minister Havelka, who this time made an extraordinary nervous impression, began his talk with a reference to my letter of 2 December 1939 to the Councillor Dr. Hofman, concerning the dispatch of the NS-Kladno activity report in 50,000 copies. The fact of this dispatch of 50.0oo copies of the activity report has also been reported to the SD, who used this report in the daily report of December, December, 1939./Minister Havelka pointed out that he was completely in my opinion that the NS's circular lines were not on their own initiative. It is completely inadmissible that such large requirements should be sent.He therefore also agreed with the competent masters of the NS that the NSI's district authorities would not issue any etgäneni activity reports and publications. The same applies to the local groups, but he intends to further expand the press service of the NS, which has been in existence for a long time. The circulation will reach about 9 to a maximum of 100 pieces. This press service will be sent to the newspapers and to the district and local lines Havelka intends to use this press service to inform the population of the political issues. In this context, Minister Havelka asked me for my consent, which I gave him in principle immediately. In this context I mentioned that I also consider it necessary for the reason that there is no longer any need to allow publications of the NS's county administration to be published in such a high order, since some of the provincial newspapers are struggling with difficulties anyway.
