Subject: Report on lecturer Dr. Bachmann. 1) In the private apartment of the assistant Franz Bock of the Kunsthistorisches Institut, books were found, which came from the Benesch library assigned to the university by the secret state police station of Prague. They were given ownership of the university and were missed. Bock testified at his understanding that the books were published by the lecturer Dr. In the meantime, Professor Dr. Swobo- has explained that these books, together with the remaining collections which are inevaluable for his institute, may have come to Bock at the same time by his superior library in the sense of a general order he has made. Thus it is clear that lecturer Dr. Bachmann does not take any responsibility in this matter. Professor Dr. Swoboda would have done better and saved himself, Bachmann and Bock, the resulting mischief if he had handed over the books (university property) which were unsuitable for $one institution, not to an employee of his institute, but to another institute, or at least obtained the decision of the authorities responsible for the distribution of the books to the various institutes responsible for keeping the books. 2) According to the message of the Reich Protector I ll No.13- o3-632/41 II of 13.8.194l to me, lecturer Dr.Bachmann unmittelbar applied to the Ministry of Education and People's Culture for a scholarship from K. l0.ooo.- for study trips and other K. 5.oo.- to photographs and the like. This letter of the authority of the Reichsprotektor to me were as annexes (abbreviations) which apparently should serve the support of the request---
