n2 - 3 - every new speech by a leading German personality, the ever-increasing fear of German agitation or the end of their rule should be read out. The weekly magazine "Zteč", which was first published on 1st of October 42, was published by the Board of Trustees for Youth Education and for which extensive propaganda was developed, received strong attention in the Czech Republic, but was almost completely negatively assessed on the basis of its content and presentation. Most of the time it is said that the magazine is not a Czech magazine, but a German magazine translated into the Czech magazine. The content is too academic, which is why it cannot exert the desired influence on the Czech youth. Czech teachers declared to the magazine that it should finally be left alone with such propaganda means. In the schools one only half got into a subscription for each class, in order not to be unpleasantly noticed, because on the part of the school ministry is shown great interest for the newspaper. At present, German exams for Czech teachers are again being completed in the Protectorate in large numbers, with few exceptions showing that the knowledge of German language is still very poor, especially in the Czech teacherhood, although it was noticeable that, contrary to all expectations, several good results were found among the younger examiners. The bad results are partly attributed to the fact that the teachers only took the language courses seriously shortly before the exams began and now tried to catch up on the missed. - 4 -
