1h 2 Führer decided that the lightening measures in the Protectorate should be restricted. It shall enter into force, by telex dated 2.l0.l939, the cancellation of the denunciation with immediate effect, and by telefax dated 4.10.l9 39. The order for the relaxation of the obscuration in Bohemia and Moravia dated 9.9.1939, announced in the daily newspaper "Der Neue Tag" dated 10.9.1939 no.54, shall be replaced by the following: The total denuncation (see the obfuscation from 1.9. 1939 and call for civil air protection of 4.9.1939) in the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia will be relaxed from 26.10.1939 to the following extent: a.) The street lighting will be permitted in all communities from nightfall to lightening, as far as this is necessary for the safety of the denunciation and to the extent that the sudden restoration of the dusk is ensured. b.) The exterior lighting of the important military enterprises, which are absolutely necessary in the interest of production (see § 3, paragraph 3 of the decree of the Reich Protector on provisional measures in the field of civil air protection of 4.lo.l939), may only be granted if the sudden restoration of the denunciation is ensured. All applications for lightening, which do not prevent the sudden restoration of the darkening, have to be suspended immediately. New applications for blackout reliefs of the important military farms require a detailed explanation.-They are to be forwarded via the Wehrmacht authorised representative to the Reichsprotektor in Bohemia and-Mähren_to the Luftgaukomman do XvII, .Vienna. Their approval is only made after prior approval of the Ob.d.L. Whereas, for other establishments, applications for dimming facilities should be rejected in general; whereas, where appropriate, it is necessary to verify that all the technical measures adopted to introduce dimmed facilities have been implemented in accordance with the principle of effective re-dimming; (c) The lighting in the train stations will move from nightfall to lightening in the cities to over 1,000 inhabitants, as far as this is necessary for the safety of the traffic and the sudden recovery of the darkening is ensured. 2.) In the sense of la - (c) the creation of the dimming shall be understood as having occurred in no more than 1 5 minutes from the date of notification of the declaration to the Oberlandrat.
