English Translation
r.5 hh Immediately before the Munich conference, the former Havas correspondent in Prague, H u n t z b e c h l e r, organised a survey with all party leaders on their opinions on the German demands. Each of the chairmen then sent a written statement to Huntzbüchler, which should be published as an interview. Although these statements differed in their pormulation, all the party leaders, however, unanimously declared the German demands unacceptable and expressed their determination to defend the integrity of the Republic with the weapon. I remember very well that B e r a n also made such a statement. I have learned of this survey conducted by Huntzbüchisry by indiscreting one of his employees. I have seen and read the explanation submitted by Beran myself. I am ready to testify under oath. As far as I can remember, the interviews were not published since the Munich conference had taken place in the meantime. Rudl.
