2 Until these committees are reorganized, they will be entrusted to an Italian professor as Commissioner. Their cultural activities, in accordance with that of the Cultural Institute, will take place exclusively within German-Italian relations. 5.) The Italian Government will be grateful for the conversion of the Italian teaching staff, which have taken place as a result of the closure of the Czech universities, into apprenticeships at the Central and Industrial Schools in Preg and Brno. The teacher in Brno will be able to handle the maintenance of the National Museum on the Spielberg and the chairmanship of the committee of the "Dante Alighieri" society in that city. 6.) It is the desire of the Italian Government to meet the long-standing desire of Italian communities in Bohemia and Moravia and to improve the construction of an "Italian House" in Prague. This House would be established in the so-called "Hospice" in the "Road of Italians", which belongs to the Italian Congregation in Prague . For this purpose, the house would be rebuilt in an appropriate way. For the repairs to be carried out in the mentioned "hospice", negotiations with the competent Prague authorities had been ongoing for a long time. Last year, under the friendly cooperation of the German authorities in the Protectorate, the negotiations had led to a satisfactory solution with the approval of a substantial subsidy which would have allowed the conversion of a hospice. In view of the fact that the Italian Government would soon have the intention of transferring the cultural institute to the "I-taliean house" after which it was built, it would be grateful if the German authorities of the Protectorate could assure it of the following: (b) the permission to remove the "hospice" from its few inhabitants still living there and the complete provision of the building; to carry out all the facilitations. 7.) The Italian Government will finally be grateful if, as soon as possible, a firming solution could be found to all the questions concerning the Italian National Museum on the Spielberg which have been pending for some time. Ministry of Foreign Affairs asks for a pleasant notification whether the Reich government is in agreement with the above. Rome, 27 October 1941
