Office of the State Secretary at Fe.o o.o. ch.og Office note in Bohemia and Mahc for the Councillor of the Upper Government G i e Bing.: 19.NOv.1941 Tgb. Tlr.: 923/4 Kgl. Ital. Consul General in Prague, Mr. Caruso, asked me at the l7th d.M. to register for reception with Mr. Secretary of State, SS group leader Frank in the course of the next week. When I asked what he was going to say to Mr Caruso, he said that he wanted to discuss all the Italian questions that were still pending in the Protectorate after his return from Italy. I replied that he had to give me more details on the issues, and Mr Caruso first mentioned the case of the Italian national Jaccaria. I told him that I could not understand what clarification he could still wish for in this regard, since I have already given him the communication on the outcome of the findings of the national police forces. Mr Caruso replied that he did not doubt the German festivities, but that the Saccaria claims that it was necessary to ask for a review of the matter. After a lengthy discussion on the subject, Mr. Caruso explained that he would be very pleased if he could receive a statement from the German side about the following content: Since it was found on the German part that no explanatory statements had been made, it would be regrettable if Mr. Saccaria were to feel somewhat offended by statements made during the intervening period." I replied that such a statement could hardly be expected from a German department after the result of the review was already established. In addition, Mr Caruso intends to address the question of the Ital. Kullturinstitut as well as the Spielberg Museum, the Society "Dante Alighieri", the Itals. Liga and the Itall. Orphanage.
