STATE SECRETARY FOR THE RUSSIAN PROTECTOR IN THINGS AND IN MORAVA, PRAGUE, inv. 387, sig. 109-4/132
English Translation
19 5 to give workers an understanding of the conditions and needs of war, of all the difficulties and, at times, of the hardships that war entails. In this enlightening and strengthening activity, we will continue resolutely and masculinely. We see in it the true love of the fatherland. Patriotism is not to be seen as the guide of Czech people to criminal acts, which is to be done by certain and unhonest people in foreign services who speak in Czech language from London or Moscow. Every ordinary Czech, and we see ourselves as soulhe, must condemn and fight their criminality. The National Trade Union Centre of Workers allows itself to express its thanks to you, Excellency, on behalf of 2 1/1 million Czech workers, for the fact that through their woollen will you have made possible the realization of their long-held dream, namely that their representatives can speak directly to the workers in the factories. The Czech worker has so far fulfilled his duty to work in a far greater part of the country, the most fundamental duty of the Czech man towards the kingdom. We will strive to ensure that the Czech worker learns not only to understand the new European order created by the great worker and leader, Adolf Hitler, but also to become an active co-creator of the new Europe and a fellow fighter of the great European national socialist revolution. I explain this to you, Your Excellency, as a worker who deserves his daily bread hard and who is aware of what a worker's word and the workers' here means.
