To the office of the Secretary of State in the Czernin Palace Subject: Refurbishment work in the former Jungfern-Breshan Castle. S C After thorough overhaul and after removal of defective components on the machine part of the pumping plant of the deep well, it was reinstalled and put into operation. In order to de-slubricate the lining pipes from the outside so that a larger amount of water can collect in the pipe hole, it is currently stosically pumped to remove the sludge from the pipehole. According to current results and the current water dtand, the test operation found the following: After the pumping unit was switched on, 14 minutes could be transported without interruption until the suction basket attracted air, a sign that within this time the water supply in the pipe hole was exhausted. After a waiting time of 4 minutes, so much water had accumulated that a further 14 minutes could be transported. The measurement of the amount of water transported resulted in a yield of 3 5o0 litres of water in an hour, this quantity of water would be considered sufficient for the supply of the castle on condition of the current water level. The insulation work against rising humidity in the ground floor rooms is finished, so that the painting work can be started on 1 April. Elekcroin- stallatin works and the overhaul of the water installation in the lock are also completed.
