Division I W - 7131. 1.) Note: Subject: Staff of the Police Directorate of Brno; convening of the Wehrmacht After consultation with the WB (Oberststlt.Seim) and the order. the police of the order (mainly multiplication) and several calls to the OLR Brno, the matter has cleared up as follows: All uniformed officers at the autonomous police and gendarmerie (over the whole protectorate about 210 men) were generally uk--sprung by an order of the OKW of 1939 for popular political reasons. After the replacement position of the Wehrmacht was occupied, the WB informed by letter of 17.1.1942 to the Bd0 that the previous general Uk position could no longer be maintained. The Wehrmascht was forced by the uniformed police officers to settle for the Wermacht, i.e. the vintages of I909 and younger. As a result, a meeting took place in January 1942 between the Bd0 (General Riege) and the head of the staff at the WB (Oberstltt. Vorbrugg), whereby it was agreed that only the vintages l909 and younger should be moved in gradually. At later meetings, the WB explained that he had to rely on older years, i.e. l897 - l908, for which, on the other hand, theWB was prepared to refrain from convening in cases where a younger police officer was absolutely needed in any place. By decree of 31 March 19942, the Bd0 had ordered the individual police regiments (commanders of the gendarmerie) to select, in agreement with the OLR, already those police officers who are absolutely indispensable. The decree to the police regimentals has been sent to the OIR. The OLR in Brno is thus informed about the forthcoming release of police officers. In addition, 8SSES $\.B- 2/41
