76 Sheet 2 to the letter of 4 July 194o B/H To the Lord Reichsprotector in Bohemia and Moravia, Prague The building, a former women's pension, is enclosed around high houses and has no garden or yard. For the necessary rest and movement of the students, for sport and play there is therefore no possibility. This is intolerable in the long run. The students have a strict and all forces demanding study order, so that in the scarce rest period a sufficiently large garden would have to be available at least. The house does not have the necessary interiors, as is explained by the former purpose of the house, to offer as much single rooms as possible for overnight stay. There is a complete lack of any kind of common space for lying lectures, entertainment, music, etc., as is necessary for the management of a large community. Nor is there a sufficiently large sacral space available. An earlier lecture room is urgently set up as a chapel and much too endless and unhealthy. Another misconception is that the path to the Faculty of Theology, which is currently housed in Prague-Dewitz at the opposite end of the city, is one hour away. For reasons of space, it is not possible to think of a possible transfer of the Faculty to the current Convikt. Therefore, from the beginning and after consultation with the competent ecclesiastical authorities, the College of Professors considered the plan to locate and acquire an object more favourable for the purposes of convict. After repeated discussions and visits, the former German monastery Sacre Coeur was decided. This monastery was acquired by the Czech state in 1919 by about 5 million currency in the days of the overthrow. The state held various offices in it. - This object has a church, a convoy's hygiene and hygiene equipment. It also has the larger rooms necessary to arrange a possible transfer, which is considered by the professors, 2 zi -
