G6 -3 - gives a nice free view of most of Smichow and the adjacent districts. For the acquisition of the St.Gabriel Monastery by the RKA for Catholic-theological study purposes, the applicant cites the following politically coloured reasons in addition to the reference to the current inadequate premises of the convict in Prague-Veitsberg: 1. Prague has always been the main centre of a sudeten-German Catholicism and as such it has decisively determined the national face of Sudeten Germanism. 2. In addition, Prague should become a study centre for the ethnic German theological offspring from the southeast and a focal point for a German Catholic diaspora work in the German ethnic groups of Slovakia, Hungary, South Slavia and Romania. 3. Finally, in Prague, for the entire territory of the Reich, the school-centre of Kathölischer cleric should be used in colonies and overseas. It can be said that it is now idle to discuss the share and merit of Sudeten-German Catholicism in the political liberation and national orientation of the Sudete-Germanism. Only the current situation can be decisive. Here it must be noted that the person of Prof. Kindermann, who was transferred to Prague, has experienced a tremendous boost in Catholic action within the German sector in Bohemia and Moravia. Up to the German people's island regions, as has been repeatedly described in local monthly reports, a dangerous anti-Nazi activity of the German-Catholic clergy can already be seen in places. As a result, in both the Iglauer Volksinsel and the Brno area, considerable ideological tensions have arisen within the people's German camp.
