30a In total, in the previous year - 16.433 pedestrians were punished. The penalties were collected almost exclusively by means of block proceedings. 4/ The barriers to traffic-rich transitions, the number of which is constantly being supplemented, contribute to the smooth handling of road traffic to not a small extent. In the interests of permanent relief, all the district police commissioners and the command of the police crew in Prague were ordered to take action against the guilty with the greatest rigour. The Ministry of the Interior issued a notice dated 8 March 194l, Z. 6585/l94l-13 ordered by the police department in Prague: a/ future - to intervene up to an obvious improvement against undisciplined pedestrians in road traffic; b/ to use on an extended scale also the penalty instruction on behaviour in road transport /§ 6 Reg. No.242/39/; c/ on a larger scale than previously undisciplined drivers, to withdraw the driving licence and d/ also to intervene against the drivers of animal spies in the determination of repeated traffic police transgressions in an extensive manner with the prohibition of driving such vehicles for a reasonable time. 10687
