28 Max führer 5. August 1941 Vienna VI, grain market 1 Call: B 26-2-51 Prague I, feuwawaagsplaty 28 Call: 21-0-57 An Ss-Obersturmbannführer Sladek SS-Section 39 Prague Dear ObersturmbannführER! I have been to you some time ago in the matter of SS-man Wilhelm Hepky, partner of the company "Te-Ta" in Prague. I have presented the whole matter to you and I have explained to you which game is played here by the Czech side and that behind all this is the spreading policy of the Czech warehouse owner Josef Ander. I also had the impression that you have seen that I am by no means concerned with personal interests in this matter, that only national interests and the interests of German employees in our department store are concerned. According to the contract, I had no obligation to take active care of the business of the company "Te-Ta", had 30% of the net profit and could have let Hepky and Ander run quite quietly. I only took up the fight as a National Socialist and knew naturally that the opposite side would not be too bad a means to weaken the accusations against them or to make them appear in a different light. The most proven means in such cases is always the slander, the common lie, which is now being used extensively in Prague against me. However, I cannot accept that the German authorities and services, and especially the SS, simply take note of the lie-manoeuvrings against a tried-and-tested National Socialist, and I would therefore like to inform you in particular, Obersturmbannführer, of the mean manner in which the fight against me is being waged. It is true, however, that I have left the 3S above my own request, for reasons that are neither honourable nor related to the matter of "Te-Ta" - Hepky. tch is happy to report orally to Thnen the reasons for my departure from the SS.
