31 Excerpt Verification No. 119 III/42, Reports of 7 May 1942. L o n d o n - (Czech) - 6.30 p.m. 15 minutes of talks with the homeland: President Benesch gave a speech in the office in London, which deals with the solution of the fundamental questions of the end of this war. You now hear the summary of the most important points of this speech: "It is precisely at a time as full of the main decisions as the present, necessary to deal with the reorganization of Europe, the world and in its context also of the future Czechoslovakia. Our struggle, the struggle of the United Nations, is a struggle for democratic right, a struggle to free Europe from the claws of the fascist beast, which affects all the weaker peoples and does not want to give them the slightest right to live; we are also fighting for a new social and economic order. Whether we want to avoid it or not as far as possible, it will not be possible to do otherwise than with a complete reconstruction of Europe, a revolution in all areas of public life. In this process, the social and economic reorganization must also be integrated, which means a revolution for all European countries, at least on this scale. We cannot take any account of the extent to which this change and transformation will prove necessary in the individual countries, one more and the other less, except for these first two main points, thirdly, we are fighting for a system of collective security and fourthly, finally, the political reorganization of Europe and the world. It is absolutely necessary to be clear about these main objectives and the way in which the necessary measures are to be carried out before the end of the war, and we have therefore not hesitated to initiate all the preparations for this redesign already today. We must therefore not forget today the question of military armament, the sources of raw materials and the colonization of the individual countries.
