- 3 - exclude their ranks, so that any influence on the people is practically not at all at their disposal. It cannot be overlooked, however, that these extreme groups are in a state of indignation by their methods, not to shy away from the most abominable slanders and denunciations, and in recent days they have even resorted to political attacks which are seriously endangering the so desirable huhe and order in our countries. I fear that the reluctance which the action of these elements evokes in the broad sections of the people cannot be conducive to the good relations of my people with the rich and with the imperial organs, but is a real danger to the calming of the popular mood. I could not put this into effect with the position that I take, since I myself have taken the lead in the national community as the only political crucifixion of the Czech people. I would also ask that the authorities do not take a more favourable view of the affairs of the Vlajka than those of the "national community, especially in the sense that they do not wish to hold meetings of the vlajca which the Czech authorities consider undesirable.
