English Translation

This request was granted by the Reichsprotektor, I W/7030 of 28.8. and the primator of the capital Ptag, Wehrmachtreferat, was charged with the execution. The owners of the house were informed by the Wehrmaschtreferat on 5 September under the sign VII/4174/42 - St.V.G. of the guarantee of the building. The appeal was filed with the Wehrmacht Department and should not have suspensive effect. At the Wermacht Office, appeals were now received on the appointed date, namely 1. from the homeowners, with the conclusion of corresponding letters from some apartment and office owners, 2. by the Economic Group for Wholesale and Foreign Trade, the Central Association of Trade for Bohemia and Moravia for some member companies that are housed in this House. I have also become aware that Minister Hr u b y has also made a personal letter to Minister Mor a v e c against the seizure of this building for the purposes of the Board of Trustees. I should like to explain in more detail the current situation: the efforts made so far to obtain a service for the purposes of the Board of Trustees have always failed to meet the objections of German personalities or services. With the present situation in Prague, it is therefore simply impossible to come to any larger building without the resistance of German services. Either German private individuals are accommodated in the buildings in question as tenants or German companies, or Czech companies, which are in any way connected with German defence agencies or economic circles and thus enjoy their protection.
