o15 The Czech Clinics in general Hospitals in Prague. I consider it my duty to draw your attention to the question of the Czech clinics, which are housed in the general hospital in Prague in general. The Minister for Social and Health Administration has already addressed Your Excellency in this matter through the mediation of the Council of Ministers with its attribution of 24 July 194l, No. 34206/41 M.R. I can add the following to the description of the legal situation, which the Minister has given in his address: Both the German and Czech clinics have always been housed in the buildings of the Prague General Hospital, the Prague Hospital Fund, under Austria, except for certain exceptions. The Ministry of Education paid a fee for this benefit. After the acquisition of the German universities in Prague by the Reichsdeutsche Schulverwaltung /RGBl.I, p.137l/, the payment of the help was the case of the Reich German school administration. The German medical fakgltit in Prague / Dean Prof. Dr Rühl/ works towards the accommodation of individual German clinics in buildings in which previously Czech clinics were housed. The measures in this regard are already ordered orally, although Your Excellency has not so far announced your position on the statements contained in the above-mentioned letter of the Protectorate Government. The search for a better accommodation for the German clinics is understandable. The accommodation of the clinics in the Prague General Hospitals no longer met the modern requirements. However, this also applied to the same extent to the Czech clinics. A reconstruction programme for the general hospital in Prague, with regard to the needs of the clinics, had already been developed from these Griinden before the year 1939.
