The question had been resolved in such a way that the supply was secured until the end of August 1945 and not as it looked before, only until the close of May. Bienert noted that the solution to the supply question came about on the basis of an agreement between the Minister of State and other Reich offices. The implementation was such that nothing had to be introduced from the Reich after the Protectorate, because first of all the withdrawal of grain for the military and the refugees as well as for other Reich purposes had been suspended. The Reich would cover this need itself. With immediate effect a delivery of a thousand wagons of grain to the Ostmark had been stopped. In this way it can be expected that the available food quantity of each protectorate resident will be fully covered by the end of August. This supply system is a significant political act. mg He (Beenert) appreciates it very high, because it contributes to the very highest extent to the maintenance of calm and order. $\D-2^{t/4$ 141 Sh St. M.
