Prague, 3rd Nai 1944 Subject: Prague III Building, Brüekengasse 15. In a conversation with an employee of the Fischer Ministerial Council, it was found that there were unclear or incorrect ideas regarding the rental conditions and the number of rooms. the whole building Brückengasse 15 was handed over on 5 December 1994l by the authority of the Reichsprotector by the government council of mercenaries to the "special representative for the Slavic scientific institutions". It is clear from the transfer protocol that the Special Envoy is responsible for the whole building, as a result of which he has collected the proportional amounts for light, etc. from the Croatian sub-letters /§ 4/. Ee appears for the first time in 1944 the idea that the Croatian vice-consul is in charge of the entire building. Also the Foreign Office /Consul General Prof. Gerlach/ always represented in the report that one may give the Croats as a sub-letter a share in the use. - Point 6 of the transfer protocol states explicitly: "The rooms used so far by the Croatian Consulate General will be left to this until the planned spare rooms can be filled for delivery." From this protocol it can be seen that a transfer of the building to the Croatian consulate was not the case that the Croats should give way. If, since I941, the Croats have not been able to obtain spare rooms, it may be inadmissible to reverse the written agreements and orders of the year 1994l in their minds. It should be noted that Croatia was represented in Prague in 1994l/42 by a conaul general, while the present representative, Mr Vietroslaw Wittner, is only a vice-consul. Both Prof. Dr. Gerlach, then representative of the Federal Foreign Office to the Reichsprotektor, and the former Croatian Consul General, repeatedly stated that the succession to Yugoslavia was to be regarded as an example, as 42% of the total property was to Croatia. This distribution key has played a major role in all negotiations. In fact, the Croats did not have 42, but 60% of the building. With the permission of the then representative of the Federal Foreign Office, the offices of the Reinhard Heydrich Foundation were located in the Brückengesse l5.
