The German Student Union of Hungary received its work orientation for the winter months in a camp before the beginning of the semester. The formation of the academic youth, which the young leader of the German ethnic group has to be, is all the more important, since it was only very sparsely possible to take a leading position as a conscious German, as a result of the assimilation and madjarization practiced on the part of the state and the authorities. The upbringing of this young leader as well as the education of the young team is only possible if it happens in German school by German-conscious teachers. From this knowledge, another Gymnasium (in five churches), 2 German civic schools in Deutschboli (Baranya) and Baja (Batschka) as well as 17 Volksbund-Volksschulen in the various German settlement areas were established. The enormous number of boys and girls who brought the parents to enrollment is a clear expression of the need of the German people for German schooling.
