The students had to take part in the school bath twice a week. After the bath, they did 20 minutes of free practice in the gym. Later, the bath was immediately connected to gymnastics. In the summer, the outdoor swimming pool offered opportunities for swimming. From 1910/11, the sport was also accepted into the school operation. In addition to the annual full-day outing — later four — and the many half-day hikes began from 1908 onwards on the multi-day class-wise outings and hikes. Since its incorporation into the Reich, five hours of physical exercise has moved to the point of the educational plan. They are geared to the goal of the people's community, fortitude, racial awareness and leadership. Physical education now embraces the whole human being for the service to the people and the state through the development of all the forces of the body, soul and spirit. It is community education, will and character training, whose militant intention is characterized by the introduction of the performance cards that accompany each student continuously. Each individual competes in a fair competition with his peers of the same age in the individual fields of physical training and is thus educated to courage and hardness against himself, to a readiness for oneness, to independent and responsible action within the framework of the sports community. 2.In the wake of the muses.
