Josef Zvěřina, police officer of the unifrom. government police in Prague, Prague on 11 May 1942. residing in Prague XI-Veitsberg NC.1848 Swatopluk-Str.6. Subject: Request for German citizenship. To Mr. Oberlandrat in Prague. 2. I am asking for German citizenship and support it as follows: Born on 24.5.1898 in Rehnitz Bez. Jungbunzlau, competent in Prague, married, childless, with the unif. police I serve since 1.6.1920. The wife E m i l i e M a r i e born K o c u r a, is born and responsible on .5.2. 1898 in Prague. I applied to the Oberlandrat in Prague on December 8, 1940 for German citizenship. I, together with the woman, reported to the protectorate authorities on the same day, and since then I and the woman have been regarded and acting as a German by the protectorates. In the month of August 194l I received from the Lord's Oberlandrat the order Z. III/4l43 Chm/, that according to the decree of the Lord Reich Protector I am until further notice first protectorate members, and whether I am granted German nationality, I am informed in due time. A few days ago I was summoned to Oberlandrat because of my military passport, On this occasion I only learned that my affair is to be perceived as berèits, and only after the end of the war is officially carried out. The point is that I cannot prove that I, or my ancestors, were born in Sudetengau, because all the birth places of my ancestors after the country border that has now been drawn are just within the protectorate border.
