I welcome the opportunity to address a few words to representatives of the economy of the Protectorate on the occasion of my presence at the Prague Autumn Fair. The year that has passed since the last Prague Autumn Mass brought about the difficult task of a triple conversion. First of all, the transition from liberalism to the principles of the state-directed National Socialist economy, then the conversion of the price structure and the whole economic base to the realities of the Grossdeutsche Wirtschaftsraum/and last but not least the conversion to the requirements of war. It is a pleasure to note that this threefold task, despite the greatest difficulties, has been largely solved. We are now ready to be able to complete the final integration into the large German territory also in customs and monetary terms.
