English Translation

You must always bear in mind, gentlemen, that the economy in national socialist Germany is not an end in itself, that its value does not depend on the level of profit achieved, but on the fact that it is a matter of achieving the highest benefit for the whole. In the new realm, the economy can always be only a member of the community, that is, of the whole. It can only last for a long time if it is carried by the joyful willingness to place itself in all that the generals must demand of it, this desire is all the more justified, because here in the Protectorate the enormous advantages of 0628 cannot be overlooked, which the economy enjoys in comparison to other countries and states. The enterprises lack no labour force and the area is almost safe under the protection of the insurmountable German Wehrmacht from the effects of enemies and the associated operating and sales disturbances. This also results in special obligations for the economy of the Protectorate, the loyal fulfilment of which I expect.
