4 - 9C If we now examine the Czech national characteristics, we find good, less good and bad. As good qualities are real sense, high cultural level, Initiative and organizational competence, working will and economy, attachment to child and soil, love of art and music. Similarly, faithfulness, which sometimes turns into rigid conservativeism, counts here, which then results in a part of our people still sticking to outdated misguided teachings, despite the most numerous disappointments. These good mercantiles are opposed to unwinned properties, which are partly typically Czech, partly taken over by other peoples, partly as a result of foreign, harmful influences to blossom. I consider the often exaggerated attachment / the typical Czech stubbornness / an unwinnable, typical Czech characteristic, which even resists one's own inner conviction, against every king's confession of error and own guilt. It is also here that peculiar character statement belongs, namely to fight for foreign goals, even if they can obviously harm one's own people. In this group I am also grouping up that exaggerated courtesy to make those repetitive compliments which in no time are capable of degenerate into the willingly opposite, in unwarranted fear, especially in the face of weaker ones. Disunity, dissension, envy of their own tribal members are further, not too immediate property of this genus.
