132 - 3 - National Socialism can only be carried out in purely German areas, such as Vienna and others. On point 3) it must be said that a concentration of the entire Übersse- and colonial training of Catholic clergymen for the whole Reich region in Prague is completely unfounded. By means of his handwritten note on the edge of the corresponding post of the RKA letter, the Herr Reichsprotektor also established his doubts whether such a training activity seems appropriate in Prague. Reasons for the choice of location are not given by the Rka in any way. It must also be stressed that any revival of the colonial idea through church propaganda in the Protectorate would be far from appropriate. For all these reasons it can be stated that they are in no way valid locally and politically to justify an expansion of the German-Catholic priestly training in Prague. The assertion of a decisive part of the German clergy in the people's openness of Sudeten Germanism must be denied just as strongly as the current political attitude of German-Catholic spirituality in the Protectorate seems questionable. To this established lack of validity of the reasons given by the RKA, it is added that an essential, if not decisive, moment which was the motive behind the applicants was concealed. As it became known here, in conjunction with the expanding foreign-priest seminar in Prague, the plan is to advance the work for an association of Orthodox Eastern Churches in agreement with Rome. As part of these efforts of the so-called "catholica unio", the seminary of priests in Prague is intended to preserve the character of a so- called Tridentine seminary, i.e. the highest Sanctuary.
