35a CV (Prof. M i k s c h i c z e k) On 15.3.1893 I was born in Plumenau, Moravia, as son of K.u.K. notary Dr.Karl Mikschiczek. My mother is from Innsbruck. After visiting the German high schools in Hradisch and Brno, as well as passing the Maturity Examination, I visited the German Technical University in Brno from l9ll. In July I moved as a volunteer to K.u.K. Feldkanonenregiment 5 in Brno. After finishing the officer's school and healing out of ëin injury by falling from the horse, I was at the front from May 19l5 to September 19l8 - from 1.2.19l8 as the senior lieutenant d.R.. I participated in the fights against Serbia-Montenegro, Russia and Italy and received the bronze and silver cross of military merit, as well as the Karl cross of troops with swords. 14 days before the collapse of the Italian front I got a study leave, was able to continue my studies in Brno and in July l9 I finished with the 2nd state examination (with distinction). By the division of Austria I became a member of the Czecho-Slovak Republic. The rank of officer was recognized to me. But I was not drafted for military service, probably because I lived since l923 in Berlin 59004. After completing my studies I joined the crane and elevator company'Beck in Brno, at the end of 19l9 at the
