In December 1824 I left the company E. B. to accept an offer from the company BorsIG. I then worked at this company until its financial collapse in 1932 in the field of steam turbine construction and power plant construction. In recent years I led the entire turbine department. From 1932 to 1938 I worked in Berlin as an expert and independent consulting engineer. In March I was appointed professor of the DTH Ptag: by decree of 20.4.1939 I became a German national. On 1.9.l94l I was named professor at the Reichsdienst and on 17.1.1942 appointed director of the Institute for Steam Turbines and Heat Plants. I married in 1934. My wife, daughter of the former President of the Bavarian State Bank Hugo Arnold, is from Bavaria. I have 2 sons. Since April 1939 I have been a member of the NSDAP M.No. 7 097 134.
