66 Curriculum vitae_ (Prof. F r i t s c h e) I am born on 28 November 1892 in Schön- londe, Bez. Rumburg, Sudetenland, German ethnicity and Aryan descent. On 3l.12.198 I married my wife née Hochmann from Aussig, SuDetenland. After completing the Volks- und Bürgerschule in Schönlinde, I entered the Realschule in Warnsdorf in the autumn of 1905, where I took the Maturation Exam in June l9ll. This was followed directly by a visit to the German Technical University in Prague, Department of Engineering, where I obtained the academic degree of an engineer on 30.3.197 by passing the second state examination of a military leave. I moved R30UO to the shooting regiment No. 9 in Leitmeritz, but was dismissed at the end of l9l7 after serious illness as invalid from the army. Afterwards, I became an assistant at the teaching pulpit for Brüekenbau of the German Technical University in Prague with Hofrat Prof. Dr. I. Melan and remained in this position, which became decisive for my further life, until l927.
