- 5 - Schlottmann's letter I understand that the hiring of the Czech auxiliary staff is planned with the agreement of the management of the NSDAP. On the condition that equivalent German auxiliary forces are not actually to be created and that the Czech auxiliary forces do not emerge and are led accordingly to the outside world, I have no fundamental concerns about the emergency measures planned for wartime. I would ask for a statement of the current state of affairs and reserve the right to specify in detail the principles under which the Czechs are to be recruited.
