29 -S- between hay wagons and the vehicle most occupied by the train driver or by a train attendant shall not exceed lo wagons. If, however, this could not be complied with in the course of a series of different movements/classification of hay and straw wagons, distribution of the bremevagen or non-gentling number of train attendants/, the train guide is responsible for demanding that the train crew crash. When stopping the train with uncovered strech or hay carriages accompanied by Militürwache on an open route, the train attendants have to research the cause and also ask the military companion, If it turns out that the Mil. Companions who had stopped the train because of fire are members of the Zugmennschaft /except Zugführer and Signalmann/, who continue to comply with their operating duties / are obliged to control the Mili- tärwaghe during firefighting with the greatest acceleration and to stop the attack of the fire by rejuvenating the wagons and farewells of the supported train part. If fire breaks out during the stay in a station, then the station staff has to use their own railway yard fire extinguishers and also to assist the Kilitärvashe in firefighting with fire extinguisher. The above mentioned measures will require reinforcement of the train crew in some skins. In July v.d. Mr Reichsprotektor recommended to the Ministry of Transport to reduce the number of train attendants used in load trains to the extent usual at DRB; this change was also brought into agreement this year. We have made orders in this respect that a reduction of the number for load trains should be made.
