2/6 This is quite true of the whole people and that is why mass organizations have never reached the level of the German people. The Čechen do not like to manifest their feelings publicly. To this end, they have too calm blood and their leadership must therefore use other propaganda — and educational means than those that have proved so well in the German nation. However, it would be an injustice to interpret the seriousness, criticalism and gloom of the Čechen as sabotage. People's joke often does not only help over difficult situations, but also testifies to healthy humour, proof of a good heart. Now I would like to say something about the extreme currents in our working class, about socialism and communism. In principle, it was here as well as elsewhere a reaction to relations that the leader has just described in his book so closely, yes, the really social action in today's Great German Empire will probably be the most powerful connection point for erratic cooperation. Socialism will continue to exist, only the misguided doctrine of the class struggle must be removed, but the rise of which the leader again reveals so convincingly as the guilt of narrow-minded capitalists, liberalists financial men, etc. It may have been clear today throughout the world that it is madness if a rich man thinks he can live happily ever after, if he remains equal to an unindebted need around him, and that it's just as madness to build financial kennels around which everything lies in ruins in times of crisis. The motto, according to which every financial arrangement has to serve above all the people's whole, without being an end in itself, will fall on very fertile ground here. An economic system that is unable in serious crises to provide employment and to carry out urgently necessary work, and whose whole wisdom exists in times of crisis in the brutal dismantling of workers and in constant wage reductions, can no longer be preserved today. Money has to serve the people and not reversed. 11
