-3- V In the course of the Czech land reform, the responsible group of the office's commissioners changed and expanded the former financial administration (credit department, fund management, budget accounting) according to German principles and is thus able to ensure a proper financial arrangement for settlement procedures by means of this establishment. So far it has worked and done the special order of the OKH concerning the resettlement for new-growing troop training places ( 29 000 ha, 5 600 families, 24 500 persons, 137 million RM ) smoothly. VI Within the Czech soil reform, the Czech Land Office operated and carried out land procurement and land allocation, the establishment of settlements (homes and colonies), the planning, structural and surveying training and monitoring of the procedure, the raising of funds and the allocation of funds, as well as the support and consolidation of the settlements by means of cooperative enterprises under its own responsibility and administration. Only through this association of all functions of the institutions necessary for a settlement policy to be co-operated with one service and their u n n i t e l b a r e s under the leadership of the state could such a broad and comprehensive national policy impact of the land administration policy be achieved.
