4 - 2 - The special task of the Prague publishing house has now led to the fact that not only such literature seems to deal with the questions of the Bohemian-Mauritian region itself; the task is to familiarize the Bohemiaan-Marian region, both its German inhabitants and the Czechs with the problems of the whole of Germany and the Reich. The People and Reich Verlag Prague has taken certain sales measures for this purpose and has acquired a number of bookstores and developed them according to uniform aspects (as the headquarters of the well-known Andree Bookstore in Prague) and a people and Reich Bücherring Prague. Above all, however, the publishing planning itself was more and more focused on the overall German and Reich problems. It soon became clear, as with the work that the Berliner Volk und Reich Verlag was allowed to afford for the Hitler Youth (book service of the HJ and war support service), that whole categories of books are either completely missing or not designed in the spirit of the National Socialist youth. We have therefore decided on the part of the Volk und Reich Verlag to increase the preparations for the publication of certain book groups. For the time being these are the following three groups: 1. the German literary classics, 2. the German political classics (for example: Jahn, Arndt, W.H.Riehl, Schönerer) 3. the political classicals of the world. The selection and processing is to take place from the spirit of the young national socialist Germany. We are determined to bring "The Prague Classics" to a term in young Germany and I can therefore suggest that the preparation and publication of these book groups take place in close cooperation with the Hitler Youth. The preparatory work for this expenditure, for which only the best experts, who are at the same time rooted in the spirit and thought world of the young National Socialist Germany, are to be attracted, takes a relatively long time in themselves and under the eye-catcheral conditions. I would therefore be in favour of a fundamental decision as to whether you wish to join the plan of cooperation in this journalistic field.
