The focus of the press coverage is still on the murder in Kladno, which is reported in several editorials alongside official communications, whereby consideration is given to the coexistence of the Germans and Czechs on the basis of the common interest in life in the Protectorate. "The New Day" and the "Volksdeutsche Zeitung" attack the attitude of the Czechs in the harshest way, which causes their press to engage in externally objective defensive actions. Karl K u t t writes under the heading "Geiseln meiner Volkes" in the "Nedelni list": The discussion of the German press with the incident in Kladno points out that it has not yet been proven whether the crime was committed on political grounds. "Nedeni Ceske Slovo" writes in addition to the CTK reports: A It is not in the character of the Czech people that they commit political murders from the ambush. The Czech character condemns the political murder at any time. One could be curious what the investigation shows, whether the motive for the act has political origin, or whether it was committed by dark elephants out of personal revenge.
