65 Dipl.Ing. F.Schmelzer z.Zt. Marklissa i.Schl., Baderstr. 261. Prague, 24 March 1942. E y des Saa sietä:s Subject: Use in the Protectorate. baa Redpoen or in Bohemia uno Maljzen. Eing.: 2 6. MRZ.1942 An T z.Hd.d. Herrn SS-Sturmbannführer Dr.Gies Prag IV. Pursuant to an OKW order. (Auxiliary measures for the mining) of 31.12.1941 I was released from the Wehrmacht after 1 year of service on 21.3.1942. As I learned by my commander, a motion for dismissal from Prague was already entered for me in mid-January 1942. In my letter of dismissal I was therefore placed in march for a service at the Reichsprotektor in Bohemia and Moravia to Prague. Since both you, Mr. Dr. Gies, as well as Mr. State Secretary are currently absent in Prague, I was only able to take advantage of the trouble management of Mr. Oberreg.Rat Dr.Ing.v.Hülsen. I returned to my family today. In the meantime, I have not yet been aware of the possible uses of my last debate in November 1941 with you, Mr. Secretary of State. My monentane situation is very worrying in that the WBK will soon demand an account of my commitment at the Reichsprotektor's office, and in case of non-employment I can and will be called back as a soldier. Therefore, I ask you, Mr. Dr. Gies, as a matter of urgency and heartily, to send me a telegraphic message in the very next days after your return to Prague so that I can come to Prague, and obtain a clarification about the possible use of my person.
