Referring to today's far-reaching discussion, I would like to inform you below of the opinion of Pg.Mundhenke, Berlin: "In the Hašek affair, I share your letter of 2nd March. In my opinion, the approval of Mr Hašek's purchase of the Hofe no longer needs to be made dependent on the ongoing negotiations. Psychologically, I think it would be more useful if we could say to Mr Hažek in the forthcoming continuation of the negotiations that we had helped with the granting of approval. I would therefore ask you to intervene with Mr Frank, Secretary of State, in order to obtain permission, if not other reasons, to speak against."
