109 -2 - Inquiries from companies affected by the collection campaign, which were received in my office and at other services in Prague, also proved the lack in which, contrary to your statement, the Czechs were already collecting information for the German Winter Aid Agency. Thus, the commissioner of the Reichsprotektor in the Czech union headquarters asked at least 12 to 15 companies how they should behave. At the party liaison office it was known that the social insurance institutions, i.e. all insurance institutions in Bohemia and Moravia, had also been approached. The Central Electric Works in Prague reported to the Reichsprotektor that, on the basis of an invitation from the Win-terhilfswerk, wage deductions had already been paid there since September by all Czech followers. The same was done in Moravian Ostrau in the confectionery "Texti-lia", in Königgrätz with the company Teerag as well as the Filia- le der Böhmisch-Mährischer Escempte-Bank and other banks, where I do not want to rule out that the initiative on the deductions can also have taken place on the part of the company's owners. I consider the discussion of the matter to be finished and ask for confirmation that in future Czech followers will not be asked to donate to the German People's Association, even in German or German-led companies, since the registration of Czechs is uniformly carried out in the form of social assistance for Bohemia and Moravia. Ieh please accept donations from Czechs in the future only if individual Czechs expressly express the wish to donate not for their own social assistance but for the German winter charity.
