24 - 19 - the financial situation of the village population by the well-paying summer freshmen. However, as the main intention behind this externally unpolitical work of the NG seems to be the idea of an activation of the Czech peasant population through the mass use of rural townspeople, as this begins to be reconciled with the existing political conditions in the Protectorate. "Republican Party" (Czech Agrarian Party), which has done preparatory work on this through the creation of parks, so-called "Svehla-Parken" on village squares, today the advertising for the village and community debeautification is understood almost only in cities, so that the actual purpose of a "village beautification" is missed. There are paid community workers available (Mähr,-Ostrava), or a voluntary work service is organized by the local citizens (Pibrans, OLB Pilsen). The Czech farmer has no understanding of the village beautification, because he is far too material and does not want to give up his labour force, which he would have to make available without payment, for such purposes. The broad mass of the city's population, on the other hand, is suspicious of summer advertising because it does not want to entrust itself to the organizational apparatus of the NG. It can be assumed that only the intelligence will result, because it sees a national duty to educate the rural population in the sense of the ng. The NG also prepared for this year a large-scale crop aid operation of the entire Czech city youth under the slogan "The city youth helps the country in the fight for the grain". The operation is to be carried out in staggered age groups. As "national guests", the children of the first group aged between eight and fourteen are brought under the hands of farmers, while a second group (l4 to l6 years) are to be employed as "voluntary harvest helpers" in the countryside for easier domestic and harvesting work. The Czech youth over the age of 16 years will be used as a "group of voluntary holiday workers". In the course of this land transfer, the Czech city youth will be introduced to the peasant population, with their customs and customs, in order to put their sense of the people on a healthy basis. In spite of the thanks given by the Minister of Education on the occasion of the previous year's harvest to teachers and pupils of the Czech Central and Technical Schools,
