5a -2- III. Execution of the executions. The executions are usually carried out by German prisoners in the concentration camp, basically in the camp, which is closest to the place of detention of the delinquent. In the case of foreign prisoners, they are also carried out near the scene of the crime for reasons of deterrence. a) The execution must be attended: The camp commander öder a W-leader, the camp doctor, who is commissioned by him. b) The shootings are carried out at a particular location of the camp, at a distance of about 2 meters from the ball catch. The delinquent must be asked whether he wants to stand with his face or his back against the wall. They shall be done in such a way that a failure of the mechani cal facilities is excluded. The announcement has to be made in the following form: "The delicacy has done this and that, and has worked his life with him because of his crime. In order to protect the people and the kingdom, he must be promoted from life to death. The sentence will be executed." e) To the delinquent, reasonable wishes must be fulfilled as far as possible. f) Photographs or pictures may not be taken from the execution.
