21 To the Secretary of State Karl Hermann F r a n k , P__r__g Obergruppenführer! On 18 December 1942 Dr. Bruno Helbig-Neupauer was arrested by the Geh. Staatspolizei in Reichenberg on request of the head office Prague and transferred to Prague Pankratz on 24 December 1942. I do not know the reason for this measure. The undersigned was the association of German landowners in Prague for as long as it existed, with almost 20 years as a leading member of the board and chairman of the association until its integration the closest member Dr. Helbig-Neupauers, who was the businessman of the general association. The knowledge of the attitude of the called in the struggle of Sudeten Germanism for its national and economic existence causes me to follow the conclusion. Dr. Helbig-Neupauer has always, but especially since the existence of the Czech Republic, always been known as German and acted as German without regard to his person. In his struggle with the Czech expropriation policy, he devoted all his labour to the preservation of the German land and the German workplace. He did not shy away from working in this struggle for German interests in an intrepid and intimidated manner and in contradiction to the Czech authorities.
