The Oherlandrat 81 Inspehteur des Beutschen Minister of State for Bohemia and Moravia Moravian-Dstrau. July 4th .194.4 in Moravian.=Dstraut Reur's Town Hall Speaker 25.45 Jr. Tgb.No. I/965/44 g. Secret Dr. Jo/Ge An den nisteram Herrn Deutschen Staatsminister 3 - 6. JULI 1944 für Böhmen und Mähren SS-Obergruppenführer K.H.Frank - in person- in P rag. Subject: Witkowitzer Werke - ongoing reporting. A letter signed personally by the State Councillor Pleiger, the draft of which is attached with the request for information. The letter apparently goes back to the insistence of Guido Schmidt, who, in his previous work in Witkowitz, has recognized the importance for General Director Kuchinka of the cooperation of the Syndikus Dr. Nowak. Dr. Nowak, who is regarded with caution by many sides, is without doubt the superior, leading head in Witkowitz in the field of organization and corporate management. He is the only one who can legally formulate the various concerns of the leading masters of Witcowitz's works and recognize the possible consequences. This is probably the reason why he has been removed from Witkowitz. It is apparently hoped that he will have removed the scaffolding for the Director-General's position and avoid further difficulties in setting up Guido Schmidt. A surrender of the Directorate-General Witkowitz on this important personnel question would open the door to far-reaching further changes within the framework of the Governing Staff. How dangerous such shocks would be in the present moment, was already mentioned in the last report under reference St.M.√M-63p/44g 5hh/193
