SV 3 However, it is probably excluded and would simply not be acceptable, even after my briefing, that the Ministry of Finance could find itself ready to build such a large faculty in Prague. In my opinion, all the factual reasons for setting up the Faculty of Agriculture in Prague are much more important than in Berlin, Bonn, Leipzig, Posen, Wroclaw, Göttingen, just everywhere except Munich. Also in several of these places are just as in Prague, at the same time a university and a technical college, so that Prague is not a special case which could justify it, for an agricultural faculty at a technical university the above-mentioned chairs of zoology animal physiology etc. etc. The same reasons, which have been asserted by the Technical University against a common faculty of science, must, moreover, remain valid in the same way here as well. In this case, the former Deutsche Bergakademie Pribram would argue for the establishment of the Faculty of Agriculture at the University. This solution is, in the opinion of all the experts I have heard, the objectively justified one. It responds to the needs of the protectorate in an excellent way, inter alia, by making it possible to place a special emphasis on the question of settlement science in such a faculty of agricultural economics, if what would secure our interest in this matter in the Reich. The issue of whether an agricultural faculty should be transferred to Prague or Brno would therefore also be decided on the basis of purely factual considerations; if this decision were to take place precisely in the same way as in the rest of the Reich, the agricultural faculty would have to go to the university and not to one of the two universities.
