Note: I was notified by Professor Beyer of the Reinhard Hey-drich Foundation by the chief author of the economic policy service S c h u b e rt from Berlin. He asked me to give him some information on some questions which he was interested in because of the lively discussion in the rest of the Reich. Outside, lively accusations are being made against the economic policy of the Protectorate. Admittedly, it is admitted that the protectorate is producing well and much and that the protectionate economy is entirely at the service of the war economy of the empire. However, it was argued that the Protectorate was too close, that its own economic policy was to be driven away and that, above all, too little German forces from the rest of the Reich were to be allowed to approach leading positions of the protectorate economy. This endeavour to encapsulate the protectorates was, therefore, disguised with popular policy considerations. It is also criticised that rationalization is still a long way behind. I gave Mr Schubert a lecture on the local area, which he took up with lively interest, the economic policy it pursued, which is intended only to serve the war economy, and the forces that gave birth to such claims which are detrimental to the Protectorate.
