Of these, the Central Association of Industry for Bohemia and Moravia in Prague, the Sudetenland Chamber of Commerce in Reichenberg, the Thuringian Chamber of Industry in Weimar, etc. These bodies are constantly discussing problems of common interest in the south-east, which have unfortunately been stalled in recent times by convening meetings, difficulties in transport, etc. They have also partly prevented the envisaged deepening of relations. This cooperation has so far proved particularly effective, particularly in the field of trade, and is particularly welcomed by the public authorities because it gives the authorities the possibility of Community meetings instead of the otherwise necessary individual negotiations. For some time now, the South-East Europe Society has begun to publish confidential communications on economic transactions in South-Eastern Europe to a certain circle of services, pirmen, etc. These reports appear partly daily in the form of short information, partly weekly in porn of reports of a summary nature. They should serve above all the requirements of practice, because the other publications of a similar nature only partially fulfil this purpose. According to the agreed view of official and pri vate bodies, the service has proven itself well. In foreign countries, the South-East European company initially worked mainly on the way through the relevant German artifacts. In the course of time, however, there has been an increasing need for the establishment of separate liaison points which are suitable for carrying out specific tasks for the practical economy - 15 -
